KNIGHT ONLINE 1.298 - A HEAVILY CUSTOMISED PROJECT
One 1.298 codebase, client and server, that I keep extending: a modern client, custom systems, and a server suite that runs the whole thing.
In the build right now:
- flying and riding mounts, with climbing, diving and banking in flight
- Seraph wings with upgrade tiers, and a shoulder-slot item
- clan capes drawn as one cloth chain skinned to the skeleton
- the Runeblade class, its armour, items and effect art
- transformation scrolls: fifteen monster bodies, worn for an hour, look only
- castle siege war, clan against clan, with gates and a respawning artifact
- a login screen drawn in code, and a character select with five slots
- Moradon decoration, and a second town on its own map
- rain, wet ground with puddles, footprints in snow, mud and grass, ambient life in the air
- floating damage numbers, skill cooldowns, buff timers, low-HP glow
Both the client and the server source are open.
